Wellbeing

Wellbeing is about enabling every member of our fellowship to engage in the activities of St Nicolas as fully as they are able and wish to, and in a manner that is safe for all.
Wellbeing includes such disciplines as safeguarding and first aid; and an ethos of outreach and of inclusiveness that seeks to understand and meet the needs of those who might have impairment or disability.
Other aspects of wellbeing include our fellowship together, and our care towards especially those who are unable to join us regularly in person. Details of opportunities to engage in these activities can be found on our Pastoral and Refreshment pages.
When using the "Contact Me" button, please include your name, contact details and the reason for your request. If you want a copy of the request, please add yourself to the address line.
Inclusion

Fronted by our Inclusion Ambassador, we look to ensure that everyone is fully included in our worship and activities.
If you are passionate about inclusion and would like to help us become more aware and more adaptive to the needs of others, please use the Contact Me button here.
Outreach
This team reaches out to people in the local community with courses such as Alpha or Being With which run once or twice a year.
If you have a passion for reaching out to others, or the gifts and skills to help deliver a course, then make contact with the team leader using the Contact Me button here.

First Response
First Aid is one of those skills which we hope will never be needed, but are immensely grateful for when they are! Knowing that we have first responders available provides great reassurance for those leading church activities.
We are a group of volunteers who are either trained First Aiders; those who have CPR training or those who have professional experience in a medical field; and who are willing to act as the named First Aider at church events and activities, should that be required and subject to availability. On other occasions first aid provision will be via a named person who is able to use the first aid box or call the emergency services if needed.
If you have, any of the experience mentioned above and would be happy to join our small group, please use the 'Contact Me' button to the right.

Safeguarding
All contacts regarding Safeguarding, whether you wish to report a concern, or whether you feel called to become part of our team, should be directed to our Safeguarding Officer.
Details can be found on our safegurading page.
Risk Management
All church run events at St Nicolas are risk assessed to create as safe an environment as practicable.
Clearly many events are run regularly (such as Church Services or Housegroups), but where there is a one-off event, the event leader does not necessarily have the skills or experience to do a proper risk assessment. Help at these times can be very important.
Completed Risk assessments are then checked and logged on behalf of the PCC by our Risk Manager.
If you need to conduct a risk assessment or wish to offer your skills and experience in risk assessment, please us the 'Contact Me' button here.

GDPR: We may ask you for your contact details. We will only use these details to enable the leader of an activity that you have selected to make contact with you at your own request.
Feedback: If something is wrong with this web page or its dependant-pages; or if you have asked to be contacted but not heard back within two weeks, please send details to the Next Steps Team.
