Welcome to St Nicolas!

As the Rector of St Nicolas, it is a real pleasure to welcome you to our beautiful church in Great Bookham. Although we meet in an ancient building, we worship a God who is very much alive and at work in the world and in our lives today. At the heart of our life together is the conviction that our calling is to serve Jesus and one another.

If you are here for a Sunday service, I hope you have experienced a warm welcome. We want to do all we can to help you feel at home quickly. Why not join us for coffee afterwards and take the opportunity to chat and find out more.

If you are somebody who has been joining us for a while and want to know more, then drop me a line via our parish office – I would love to talk with you.

Also, please take a look at our weekly notice sheet for our latest news or check our website
www.stnicolasbookham.org.uk or Facebook page for up-to-date information.

Whether you are seeking to discover a little more about our church community  or simply curious about God, we are here to help you.

You may want to get in touch with us to organise a wedding or Baptism, because you'd like to find out about any family events or just because you feel in need of some support.  We are here to help our whole community so whatever you feel in need of, from a listening ear to a toddler group we are here for you and would love for you to get in touch with us.

Our Mission

Our aim is to build faith in our community.  What we mean by that is that we are actively seeking to share our beliefs with the local community and help anyone willing to develop their trust in Jesus and support them in that.  We believe the truth that Jesus died and rose again means that anyone can build a deep and lasting relationship with God through Jesus.  We believe He came to give life in all its fullness and that he offers it to all, including you.
