The Refugee Crisis

As a church we are committed to the P.E.A.C.E response to the refugee crisis.

P - Pray, for those suffering and for governments and people to respond to their plight with compassion

E- Educate, find out what is really going on, not just what the papers say, and share this with others

A- Act, do something about what you find out!  Either by giving money or needed supplies or helping with housing refugees

C - Campaign, say something about this.  Write to an MP, sign a petition etc. and offer positive support to those with power.

E - Engage, stay aware of what is happening, how to be involved and keep the whole church family engaged.

When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself

(Leviticus 19 vv 33-34)

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat.  I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

(Matthew 25:35-36)
