Help and Support
We can all need a bit of help at different times in our life and we can offer some support for you. This page has details about different groups you can turn to within the Church to help, whether or not you are Christian, or have any connection with any Church we are here to support you when you need us. We've also included some other groups within our community that can offer support and some national links as well. Please feel free to contact any of the groups and services on this page.
Bereavement Team
If you've suffered a bereavement and would like someone to talk to then we are here for you. The bereavement team offer support and a listening ear, if you've arranged a funeral with us then we will arrange for them to contact you as a matter of course, please let us know if you would rather they didn't.

Help your Neighbour
We help the elderly in Bookham who cannot use Public Transport and who do not have friends and relatives to take them to medical appointments.
To register, ask for a leaflet or to request a lift please call us. We ask for a donation to cover the driver's fuel expenses and can give you more information regarding this when you get in touch.

The Meeting Room
Support for homeless, socially isolated & unemployed people in Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley
The Meeting Room runs daytime drop in centres for homeless, unemployed & socially isolated people. They offer the chance to chat, a hot mid-day meal and support. The nearest centres to Bookham are:
The Crescent Centre, Leatherhead (open Mondays & Thursdays 11am-2pm)
Our Lady of Sorrows, Effingham (open Friday 11am-2pm)
The Meeting Room also organises regular outings to local beauty spots to provide a change of scene. If you feel that you would benefit from the support of the meeting room please do get in touch with them.
