Technology and Support

As with every organisation, St Nicolas is becoming increasingly dependent upon its technology.

Having a good technical team behind the operations of St Nicolas gives us confidence that we can operate with reliability and security.

There are many aspects to technology, from physical infrastructure such as power, through digital infrastructure such as the projection system, to software infrastructure, cloud services, APPs and of course training and operation.

Expertise is required in all of these fields to ensure security and continuity of operations, and good diagnosis when external contractors need to be called in.

When using the "Contact Me" button, please include your name, contact details and the reason for your request. If you want a copy of the request, please add yourself to the address line.

Infrastructure and IT Support

IT and Infrastructure Support creates and maintains the systems used by the church.

The physical infrastructure includes the power supply, the Audio-Visual systems, the cloud services, and church phones and laptops - each with its own configurations and software.

It also includes training the trainers, so that the users can be properly informed and equipped when changes are made.

At present we are working towards the complete replacement of our CMS (Church Managemenet Ssytem) and associated website. Thispresents plenty of opportunity for deveopling new expertise.

Use the 'Contact Me' button here to contact the Tech Team leader.

AV Operators

The team of AV operators work in pairs each Sunday, and on other special occsions, to manage the recording, projection and sound for our main services.

The projectionist also prepares the materials for projection using the FaithLife Proclaim system.

Working as a team gives resilience and support, which builds confidence in teh team and all those delivering the service each week.

Training and mentoring is provided.

Use the 'Contact Me' button to get in tocuh with teh team leader who will tell you more about this valuable role.

Event Management Support

Events don't just happen! But we encourage and support any member of the congregation in putting on a special event.

Rather than having and events team, we have developed process and practices that will help you to manage the event yourself at St Nicolas.

If you have a question about anything from advertising and ticketing to risk assessment and refreshments and everything in between, please use the 'Contact Me' button, and I can help point you in the right direction!
