Who are the Sparklers?
‘Sparklers’ is our Sunday Morning group for 3-7 year olds.‘ We gather together in our own space whilst the main service is going on in church, but we all meet up in the church towards the end of the service. We like to use the Scripture Union ‘Bubbles ’teaching notes, and the sessions are filled with craft, songs and stories and prayers. Our team is a truly talented one with every one adding their own particular gifts to help our children learn about God’s love.
What have you got planned?
We run several special events during the year. Our pre-Christmas Make and Bake is an afternoon full of crafts, cooking and lots of fun! After Christmas we hold our Sparklers party, welcoming all on our register to an afternoon of fun, games and a party tea. In April following the Hot cross bun service, we have a joyful session of spring/Easter crafts, baking and creating beautiful Easter gardens.

Where? When?
‘Sparklers’ meets in the church room during the 10am service. We meet on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month, with sparklers and their families invited to join in with Family and all age worship services.

We work on a three monthly cycle with three groups of helpers, giving the children the chance to experience different styles and benefit from the different skills of the helpers. We have a great pool of young helpers who join us regularly.
